Yes I just noticed there is a cp_river also in the works.:blushing: No this is in no way related or an attempt at theft. I thought this name fit well and it's going to stay the name until I come up better.

This is a small map. Keeping it simple for my first (w00t).

The focus of this map is to start the teams off going for one point, then branching it out afterwards. Sometimes when I play dustbowl I notice after the first rush, people have a tendency to give up the first point and build defenses at the second point. I'm making it more punishing if blu loses the first point by making them cover two more points. If either are lost it's gameover.

Now for the very alpha pics (note the pretty build textures).

I actually googled the hell out of cp_river to make sure nobody else had it when I started working on it! :p

So is it multi-round like dustbowl, or is it just 1 round?

And yea, rivers are awesome :p

It's just a one rounder. And I did the same thing with this name. Who would have guessed that this would happen:rolleyes:

Originally mine was gonna be a tc_river...those plans changed shortly after! :p

EDIT: Just also noticed we registered a year apart...weird o_O

It would help, a lot if your pictures were a bit bigger than 400X300px.

Say maybe, 800X600 at the least, looking at your pictures is like looking at the online notification for MSN :S

eh sorry about the pictures. It was late where I am and my moniter takes screenshots a little too big for the forums to upload. I shrank them to a quarter of the size.

I should do something about the name. It's close enough to pope's map that confusion is sure to occur.

No new screenies yet, everything is still in dev textures. The map is in a playable state though. Did I get the build order mixed up?

And can an admin please clean up ghij763 spam? Thanks.

Oh and I'm renaming this map CreekMill. Any thoughts anyone is willing to throw at me?

*UPDATE*

More screenies and a release to show I haven't been sitting on my hands for the past few weeks. Though I am at a lose of what to do next. I need to put prettier textures on, add spawnroom doors, fix a lot of very messing mapping, play with values to make the map fun, fix the water (no idea why it's black), and add all the lighting.

Can someone give a newbie some useful pointers?
