I wanted to create a map for my clan to play a gamemode I came up with. I will probably release 2 versions one with the center area clear, the other with clutter in the center for cover.

FULLBRIGHT!!! AUGH MY EYES.

Add in a light_environment, turn the skybox into one that isn't day_01, THEN take pictures! :(

The thing is, when your map is fullbright, it's hard to see details and depth in your map. The sky takes five seconds to change too, just go to Map > Properties.

So, what's the hot potato playstyle about, anyway?

Im guessing the playstyle will be, you can only have the intel for so long and you have to give it to someone? Or something like that anyway...

Is it something with the pyro's air blast?

The reflected missiles are called hot potatos or something right?

Hot potato we play everyone goes pyro with airblast gravity on server is set to 500 and one person becomes the potato. They get a 45 sec count down timer for exploding and last person left standing becomes the potato. This is all done server side so the map is just a normal DM map.

Whats the name for playstyle like this (if exists):

- some "arena" map just like this
- one inteligence for both teams
- teams are scoring by having the inteligence for some time
- team win when reach some score like 100 points

Couple new pics.

I added the stairwells to either side
I finished cutting the windows out
added working spawn doors on lower level
changed the skybox and light environment to goldrush theme
added temporary lighting for testing purposes.

To Do List.
Finish adding spawn doors and setup spawns
Add player clipping to the outside of the dome.
add some sniper guards and basic map layout stuff
add sudden death to end of map round.

Ok alpha 1 is up. changes include

The spawns dont have any resupplies, I may or maynot add them depending on how the map plays.

Looks like fun. What addons are required server side? Just using /admin commands and a modified config to set the timebomb to 45 seconds?

(i'd want to play it as intended :)
