Sticky bombs now get a reduced close range damage ramp up (like Rocket Launcher & Syringe Gun)

Ultimately reduces damage done by sticky bombs to enemies <512 units from the Demoman

Moved the unlockable system over to the new item backend:

Added a warning dialog to the loadout screen telling clients when the server they're on could not get their loadout

Made "tf_damage_disablespread" a replicated convar, so clients can see the value of it on the server they're connected to

Renamed "mp_stalemate_at_timelimit" to "mp_match_end_at_timelimit", to better explain its function now that stalemate is optional

Fixed muzzle flashes & shell ejections still playing when viewmodels are hidden

Server tags can now be used to include or exclude servers from the list

Basically, sticky bomb nerf and steam cloud update. Scout Update is basically coming up next, fuck yeah.

o_O can't find file in the ui directory. Awww, can't loop it now. Is that song from Meet the Sniper?

it's in "team fortress 2 content.gcf". It's the music from Meet the scout

Man, I read that update differently the first time... had to read it again. I was almost ready to spit venom at the Demo nerf... it's good though, basically a counter to sticky-grenading.

The demo nerf is good. Maybe not perfect, but it helps.

But this...THIS is what I'm excited about:

Later this week we hope to have another update out that changes the way we store your unlockable items. (...) Once that's out of the way, we'll be able to ship the Scout pack.

See how that fits? I assume they were planning to release the Scout update after their previous loadout fix, but then they noticed they needed to fix this little thing first. Now there's nothing to stop them from releasing the update!

IMO they should nerf stickies this way:
-Only detonatable when attached to an object
-Damage increase over time (total 5 seconds) with max at normal damage

Bah they need more startup music like the originals, "playing with danger", "rocket jump waltz" and "team fortress 2" Those three rock but this new one just doesn't have anywhere as nice a feel to it.

The scout update still feels as far over the horizon as team fortress 3 though :(

I'm now pretty sure it'l be out on Thursday, information today, maybe new vid on wednesday and release on Thursday. It would follow suit with all the other updates (2/3 were released on 19th)

blah blah blah 19th blah blah

what is it with people and over analysing stuff?? My gut tells me its as far off as the medic update was when they said "next few weeks" at the begining of last december. We've had no information otherwise so I'm going with my gut before I go with some premature theory...
