Download alpha 2 here

I fail at descriptions, but I'll do my best.

RED(Reliable Energy Distribution) and BLU(Haven't thought of an acronym) have both set up geothermal power plants in this volcano in the middle of nowhere.

Now for pics.

Looks nice, but I must say that I don't think that those metal pipes would be able to stand the lava, would they melt?

Apart from that, looks okay.

Is there a hot flow above the lava?
That looks so nice

He means a name that fits this map, he changed RED's too.

Maybe something like Burst Lightning Unity? Something power-ish.

You don't need to use the acronyms all the time; there aren't many references to
Blu in Hydro BUT there is an Alpha Electric sign in one of the buildings in the skybox.

So just running through it solo here are some thoughts.

The two health packs in the middle I think should be lowered to medium health packs. Maybe it's different in a game, idk.

When running from CP 3 to CP 4, I think it would be really easy to get lost of where to go. Instead going to CP 5 and not of 4. Possibly put a one way gate (defenders have access) on the left hall. Once CP4 is capped, it opens up completely for anyone to use.

At CP 2/4 I think the ceiling should be raised a bit so Demoman, Soldiers can get on top of the pipes with out being crouched.
- Same cap points: Can scout dbl jump onto that ledge overlooking the point? If not, mabye make a jumping route for them to get up to it? Like a smaller ledge to the side of it that they have to jump there to get to the main one.

Also for a BLU name: Burning Lava Utilization

The biggest thing to me was lighting.

The ambient needs raised quite a bit. There where alot of hard spots to see. Especially they tunnels above the second and fourth points. Alot of this may be due to the dark rock tex, but it was hard to see players in those spots too.

Possibly more red glow from lava for mood lighting.

The layout was decent, someone mentioned points 2 and 4 are 'out of the way. I'd agree to an extent, but I think the darkness and lack of enough markers are part of the problem.
By the time I would get to point 5 I was having a hard time finding the point.

Would be cool if you could use the lava tex on water, even if it's only 32 units deep, so players can't swim but their corpses would sink into it and 'vanish'.

Played it today on Grim's server. I have to say, I enjoyed it. You can still build on the lava (I know this is a known issue) people generally got lost going to the third point so maybe add some signs. I liked the rock texture for the volcano. The third point may become a bit of a sniperfest on a full server but you'll need more gameplay tests (we only had 3 on 3)

Yeah, I liked it a lot except for that BLU sign that was meant for red that I told you about in chat. I half-arse like that it's too dark to see the tunnel going to the second point most of the time. I think there might be too much health at the middle point (or at least 2 too close together).

As said in chat, please increase signage.

Also, dunno if you tried this...but I was thinking what it might look like if you added a really super thin layer of water to the top of the lava to try and make it look more liquid-ish
