Hi again :) In case you have forgotten, last week I announced that voting for our payload contest would be closed in a week. So this is your last minute reminder to go check out the awesome custom payloads; http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=4995

The thread will be officially locked on Sunday evening. Judge's scores and a final tally will be available shortly thereafter. There have also been some really nice suggestions coming out of the Contest Idea thread; http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=3958

As I'm sure many of you know, our server has had it's share of problems, to say the least. I'll spare you the technical details; suffice to say the last couple of Steam updates were far more troublesome than they should have been. And every time something went wrong w/ the server, it made me look bad :( So drpepper and I have agreed that it's time to move on. The massive costs of bandwidth and storage for our site means we take whatever freebies we can get. So I'm calling on the community to ask if anyone would be willing to offer their server as the new official TF2M home.

This would be our primary source for gamedays and events. Because of that, the big sticking point is allowing ftp access for myself and a couple officers. Donors are allowed to upload their maps directly from the site, a feature we would like to keep. Linking the site and server requires the highest level ftp connection. I should mention that both direct uploads and testing maps do not get added to the map cycle. So if you'd be interested in hosting our testing gamedays and misc. events, just send me a pm or hit me up in Steam chat.

Speaking of events, our night of 1000 gibs is tonight :D It's been awhile since we've had a fun event to just screw around and play together. I would like to do more of such get-togethers in the near future. The last couple of events were ingame discussions of Dustbowl/Badwater strategy, and ingame chatting about Valve's map design. Basically pointing out all of the little things and techniques which make their maps so fun and beautiful. If you have a server w/ active users that would be interested in participating, lemme know. The more the merrier ;)

p.s. How freaking cool is this; http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=5196

On a non-server related note, voting for the payload contest has slowed down a bit. So I'm setting a deadline of one week until voting is officially closed. You can d/l the map pack and check out all the great reviews here; http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=4995 And as always, you don't need to wait until gameday. Our server is there for you to use, w/ all the finest custom maps. Visit the Steam chat and round up a game. Just 'rtv' to play one of the contest entries. Good luck to all of the contestants, and I hope to see everyone next weekend :)

I can't tell if you're trying to help or just being sarcastic :( As I said, if you're interested in assisting, just send me a pm.
