Sparrowhawk is a simple capture the intel map. It is my first map, and I am not focusing on visuals yet until my balancing and gameplay is good enough. It is set in a spytech themed base, oddly adjacent to the opposing teams base. Unfortunatly, I am still at "noob mapper" stage, so I still don't know how to take pictures. :unsure:, so if anyone could tell me, I would be very thankful.

Anyway, I hope it will become a decent map after a few tests. I'm not very near completion, so don't hold your breath (as if you would :D).



The intel room is though the top door, but there will be another route at the right side of the picture. More pictures coming soon.

Well in your initial stages you have plenty of options. Either use the Print Screen key and paste/crop images from the 3D view (to make the 3D view (and any 2D View you have selected) fullscreen hit Shift+Z, and again to get out).

Otherwise in-game hit F5 to take screenshots :). Upload those images to am image-hosting site like ImageShack or Photobucket and use the code tags to post them here.

Also to remove the in-game HUD, open your console and type sv_cheats [B]1[/B] to enable cheats (change the 1 to 0 to turn off), then cl_drawhud [B]0[/B] to turn off the hud (of course, type 1 instead of 0 to turn it back on).

Cool. From the looks of it that is ingame (if I'm wrong please tell me!) so you'll need an env_cubemap and some lights (or a light_env) to make the shadows. Looks good so far!

Yes, its ingame, and I am going to add lights later. However, I am unfamiliar with cubemap...:confused:

Sorry, I'm going to probably be asking quite a few questions:(

The intel will be on the left table, the entrance to the intel room on the right is the same door that I mention in the first post. The balcony at the top will have a second entrance at the far end. Some textures will be changed soon, for more visibility :blink: I will add more screenshots soon. :)
