I am having some troubles finding the program I followed a video of how to use the hammer editor but when I try to follow that video hammer is not there

What filepath are you checking? It should be located at [Drive]:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\bin\hammer.exe (and not ...\Team Fortress 2\tf\bin\). Also it won't be able to work on any system other than Windows (though you can fix that by using WINE)

thanks I was going in teamfortress/tf/bin and it was not there is was in teamfortess/bin
