(resolved) Hammer won't start, creates dump file (.mdmp)

Hello!
I went to work on my map today and Hammer refused to start. Upon looking in Team Fortress 2/bin, there were 6 dump files (.mdmp), one for every time I tried to open the program. After opening one of the dump files in VS Code, I got this:

The file names are named in a format that I believe goes like this:
hammer_(DATE, Y/M/D)_(TIME, H/M/S)_1_accessviolation.mdmp

What I've tried:
Computer restart
Closing and reopening Steam
Opening and closing Team Fortress 2

Have you tried running Hammer from the hammer.bat file? Also try verifying your game files if that doesn't work.
