I'm seeing a black void (help)

I know this is something to do with how I view my map I am just very inexperienced please help lol

this is in hammer its like I'm in a sphere of black if I get close to a wall it moves and I can see the wall

That's the finite draw distance kicking in. You can go into Tools > Options, open the 3D Views tab, and set the "Back clipping plane" to be farther away. And while you're at it, you can crank up the "Model render distance" to stop props from turning into boxes so close.
