Need Help With 3D Skyboxes

Hello peeps! As I am quite new to hammer I only made a handful of maps, but I always get stuck on the skybox phase and I ruin everything. Can anyone help me with some tips and tricks with how to make my skyboxes look better? Thank you in advance!

P.S. Yes I have full knowledge of how 3D skyboxes work I just don't know how to decorate them.

It is always useful to hope around a few valve maps and start to see what is the 3d skybox and what is just non-playable space just outside of the map.
