Getting burnt out on my attack defend map

I'm getting really burnt out on my second map, which is attack/defend, because I ran out of ideas. I really want to make a payload map as my next one, because I have some good ideas, but I'm worried it'll be too hard logic wise.

What is a good game mode which is more advanced than koth but easier than attack defend in regards to logic?

The Asylum

You could try Special Delivery. The good part about that making it is it's only as easy or as difficult as you want it to be. You don't have to have an elevator like Doomsday, or its nosecone gimmick. If you need a progress delaying mechanism you're limited only by your own imagination.

You could look into invasion CTF, which is similar to SD but the flag can easily trade hands and teams have to deliver the flag to the enemy base instead of a point in the middle. It's more advanced than KotH, requiring more consideration to flow since the objective moves throughout the map, but still not too big.
