Probably just something wrong with your inputs/outputs. Make sure everything is correct and just like in the video. Its good for you to understand the basics and not let others do it for you.

I figured I'd take a look at the map before I went to work. When I first loaded into the game the control point wasn't loaded in. Removing the ramps to the high ground fixed that. I've found that making brushes that skew across 2 axes like that is hard to work with. After that, the only problem I could find was the CP not unlocking not even replacing the logic fixed it. You might need to play around with that, hope this helps.

BTW, when i loaded the map, pretty much everything were dev textures. was that intentional?

Yeah, I'm pretty new so I used dev textures to make creating the maps easier without having to worry about too much detail.
