func_precipitation is randomly disappearing.

I'm making a very rainy map. After I put like 6-7 func_precipitations they just disappear at some point, even if don't compile the map. Is there any way to avoid this? Also, I recently found out that func_precipitation can eat a lot of FPS, so I guess I have to use particles?

you might have radius culling on. if there's a big red circle in the 2d views, press C to turn it off

You should use particle systems in TF2 instead of func_precipitation. Here's an (old but not outdated) list of them.

Also turn off radius culling like Pinsplash said (if you have it on), radius culling just sucks.
