....judging by the WIP posts you're quite the talented modeler.
Ironically enough I can't model for toffee - all the models made for this project have been created by far more talented modellers than myself. Just materials and project organisation for me!

Otherwise you raise an interesting point, and we'll be sure to consider whether to stagger the pack's release into multiple major versions; the assets are currently categorised into high, medium and low priorities, so the highs and many mediums would definitely feature in the initial release. There's still some way to go before those high priority assets are done, however, but steady progress continues - such as with this (WIP) street furniture, made by the talented FGD5:

Thanks for the support!

Progress continues!

The hard and dedicated work of our talented contributors means we're now getting closer and closer to a first full release of the pack, but there's still much to be done - and we still need your help. In particular we're looking for modellers to help make the last few assets (especially 3D skybox landmarks), as well as SFM animators to help out with the character animation on a short trailer that's being developed for the pack. If you think you can help out with those or with any other areas of the pack, add me on Discord or find me on the TF2Maps Discord server.

It might help to post a list of which assets you still need help with.
In terms of models the key ones that haven't been claimed by other contributors yet but which we'd still like to include for a first release are the skybox landmarks - versions of Big Ben/Parliament, St. Paul's Cathedral and Tower Bridge, still recognisable as themselves but given proportional and visual flair to match into the world of TF2 (and possibly with animations, for Tower Bridge's bascules opening - or for the Cathedral dome/the top of Big Ben opening up to reveal diabolical missile silos). Again there's also character animation needed for an SFM trailer (which has been fully blocked out and prepared), as well as potentially more general commercial or municipal signage overlays.

I can't help but notice the coupling method on the Locomotives being the more modern bell and pin or whatever they're called. It would most likely still be Buffer and Chain or at the best support both types.

Oh man I forgot about this pack, any plans on a release date?
There's no confirmed release date yet - progress has honestly been pretty slow lately, and certainly on my end I can attribute that to being busy with other stuff combined with periods of low motivation - but we still hope to release it in some form or another at some point. So it may be a cliche in its own right, but the release date currently stands at "when it's done". (What I can confirm is that we're hoping we can add the assets to Open Fortress' base game for all its mappers to use; in addition I've been working on an Open Fortress Deathmatch map, DM_Thames, that prominently features the London theme. It's in the game already so if you fancy seeing the assets in situ, hop on and give it a go)

The trains have the same coupling method as the rest of base TF2's trains to ensure maximum compatibility with existing rolling stock models; it's a small concession to artistic license, but hopefully one that'll work in favour of broader versatility as a whole. (We have talked about implementing custom buffer/trackstop models at some point, so mappers can retrofit existing trains to British specifications, but that'll probably come further down the line - pun intended)
A lil' suggestion. The Phone and Police box should have opened version with separate potable doors.
Will there be Yellow / Gold Postboxes.I know they weren't around in the 60s but we have the R, G, and B ones
We'll bear in mind these suggestions for the future of the pack - if we make versions of the props with enhanced mobility for SFM, open versions for mapping purposes will hopefully follow.

Another little preview to whet your appetites - a brand-new modular set of windows and doors, made for the pack by the talented bakscratch:

As long as the locos and any accompanying roiling stock look more accurate later on that's fine.

It's very much still a thing - no matter DM_Thames' fate the pack will release at some point (see post #31)

Still working on the pack, in particular making a bunch new signage textures while reworking existing ones to be more consistent. However we've fallen short of people to do illustrations/paintovers for posters, tin signs and the like - if you're good at illustrating in the classic style of TF2's in-game posters and fancy volunteering to help out with the pack, shoot me a message here or thru Discord
