An idea for CTF

I understand that what i’m about to say isn’t a “map” so to speak. But i’ve been into mapping for a bit over a month, and i’m looking to get better. I made a koth map called “koth_warehouse”, i didn’t release it because i only wanted to play it with my friends, not wanting a chance for it to get big. However i’ve just come up with an almost perfect idea to make ctf a better gamemode. The message i will put here was from a text message to my friend;

holy shit you just gave me the best idea. this changes ctf. instead of playing all 3 captures on the same map, you advance further into enemy territory for every cap. so if you’re playing on red and you cap agains blu, you move into an area that belongs to blu, and you have to cap again. But if they defend the intel for long enough, then it goes back to the other map and so forth for the 3rd cap.

That was only a brief explanation of it, and it’s far from perfect, but i really want to build on it, as ctf was my favourite gamemode in unreal tournament. If anyone wants to help me with this idea, i’m glad to give you my discord. Again, this is a very incomplete idea and it’s far from perfect.

so... TC with The intel instead of capture points?
I suppose so, I mean even if you do exactly that and swap the points on hydro with the intel it would still change the playstyle greatly, as you would have to make it back to your base instead of standing still on a point. (Im not saying that replacing the points on hydro would be a good idea though, that would be a complete clusterfuck)

That does sound kinda fun way to spice ctf up, but i have feeling that it might get pretty stalematey if it just resets to the original map without rewarding either team a point when one team successfully defends the intel

Yeah, thats what i was worried about, its one of the things I was hoping to build on, for better ideas on how the map changes, and overall flow should work.
