Anyone have this issue?

I have TF2 installed and up to date and I have all the relivant SDK stuff installed, under Win Vista. When I bring up the SDK launcher, with orange box selected, all the games show up in the dropdown list, but when I click on them, it doesn't select it. I've tried removing/redownloading the SDK files and several refreshes of the game files.

Update - fix figured out, see page 2

Thanks _o/

HL2-Ep2, which is the first/default on the list. And if I select the HL2-Ep1 engine, I can select all the stuff there properly.

Well, your engine version should be set to Orange Box. You should be able to see it there. I also had this problem and solved it by reseting the game configurations. So i'm not sure what your problem is otherwise, assuming you have TF2. >.>

Go reitteration!

so if you click it, will the drop down box dissapear leaving tf2 in the darker box?? if so you just need to double click "hammer editor" at ther top.
If not - truely stumped

It doesn't, that's the problem.

I know there's a command-line option that forces the launcher to load the ep1 engine. Are there any other commandline switches, or at list of them somewhere? Google isn't being my friend so far.

refresh sdk content maybe :/

launch team fortress could also help

or delete (after backupping ofc) your steam/steamapps/<username>/team fortress map. (because there is a file there that sdk reads to know where your game files are, the map will be recreated in a few minutes when starting team fortress)

Well, I'm going to try a bit less orthodox workaround - finaly finishing HL2 Ep 2. Done that, using Steam to backup the game files so I don't have to redownload them later, then will uninstall it. That should put tf2 as the top entry in the game launcher.

Ok, what *actualy* worked:

In sourcesdk/orangebox/bin there's a file, "GameConfig.txt" that spells out the games that appear in the launcher's list and the accompanying settings. Move the tf2 entry to the top, and presto.

Still a pain though.

Oh, i think the issue you were referring to (where you had to add -211 i believe it was, to the shortcuts command line) was resolved when the beta SDK became official with the release of orange box, or DoD to the Orange Box or something like that.

This issue should be redundant..

I'll look into it for you..

*edit* nvm, you fixed it.

Well, It's only "fixed" in the sense that I hacked things untill they did what I wanted. The dropdown selection still doesn't work. A real answer would still be nice if anyone happens to come upon it.
