Decided to make a thread to keep all the clues organized for the next contest and for sleuthing. Don't know where to put this thread so I'll put it here. If it's in the wrong spot can moderators put this in the correct forum.

First Clue:

Second Clue:

Third Clue:

Fourth Clue:

Fifth Clue:

14bit has looked at previous major contests for this contest.

Sixth Clue:

14bit has stated that there will be no MvM allowed.

Seventh Clue:

14bit has stated that contest will take place before the jam.
That's all the clues so far.

I’m guessing with the evidence we have that the contest will involve cutting up different prefabs / maps and pasting them back together.

13 Zimbabwe dollars says I’m right.

Here's my thinking. Can't wait to see how wrong I am in a few days when the contest drops. Any, maybe all of these could be red herrings.

1st Clue - Pins and a Microphone - Check the pinned messages (in the voice chat channel?), there may be extra clues there.

2nd Clue - "Cut to Here"
- The contest may revolve around a theme, such as Construction (as represented by the shovel), Movie Studio ("cutting film"), Time (Timeskips, or "cutting time"), or Beta (Cut) Content.

3rd Clue - Contains "to"
- Self-explanatory.

4th Clue - Crash's Previous Work
- This could be anything, but my mind keeps going to plr_split (in which a payload is "cut" in half in the last stage).

5th Clue - Looking at previous contests
- No idea. Maybe 14bit was just checking to see what worked and what didn't for contests?

6th Clue - No MvM - Something about this contest will either work too well with MvM (in which case everyone would flock to it) or not at all (this could be either logic-based (Arena and MvM combo) or theme-based (Robots in Medieval Europe)), so the contest organizers have to make "No MvM" a rule.

7th Clue - Announced Before The Jam - This just means they want to give contestants the opportunity to start their entries during the 72hr Jam. I personally think this is a great idea.

Since I already explained this on discord:

2. The "Cut to Here" clip is me telling future me to cut the clip there in editing, as it was not needed and was being used for myself to prep.
6. No MvM is a default rule we always have. We don't have the setup to properly judge them in normal contests.

Have fun with the rest!

Can't believe the only one I got right was Number Five.
