Colorado is a single-stage payload map with an emphasis on unique, memorable combat spaces. BLU must push the payload through RED's sprawling hydroelectric facility in order to reach the final point on the crest of a gravity-arch dam.

  • Removed some unnecessary space on first

  • Added more cover for defenders on first
  • Reworked area between first and second
  • Reworked attacker routes into second
  • Changed geometry on last to limit the effectiveness of certain sniper positions

  • Adjusted pickups to be more accessible to defenders on third and last

  • Fixed players getting stuck in forward spawns if they spawned as a point was capped

  • Fixed various clipping issues

  • Added various doors and signs

  • Changed geometry on last to break up long empty spaces and increase variety of routes for attackers

very good. my home state now looks like dustbowl and hydro. i love this map.

If you're considering this map for competitive play the map should probably be shortened to 1/3 the size. It's a fun map for pubs, very reminiscent of old valve design if you're a fan. Keep the last though, the idea of playing on top of the hydro damn is probably the greatest tf2 dopamine kick I've had in years.

That description was a little out of date so I've edited it. I may test the map in highlander at some point to see if it has any potential worth pursuing but my primary goal right now is to create a fun pub map. That being said the size does still need to be reduced in several areas so that is my focus for the next version. It's great to hear people are excited about last, I've always wanted to see a set piece like this in a map so it's encouraging to find other people share that enthusiasm.

  • Fixed explosion death trigger remaining active indefinitely

  • Adjusted the size of a few areas

  • Took a year to reach A7 (happy birthday Colorado!)

  • Reworked routes between Second and Third

  • Made various changes to Second and Third to accommodate new routes

  • Replaced sentry cubby on Last with a raised platform

  • Adjusted location of RED first spawn and BLU second spawn

  • Fixed being able to shoot under truck on Third

  • Fixed unintended sightline on Last

  • Experimented with some textures and other details on Last

I ran around the map and gave it a look, I have to say that i am pretty impressed.
I noticed a lot places being really narrow but apart from that I cant wait to give it a try at an upcoming playtest.

It's kinda sad that this map isnt getting much attention. In my opinion this is one of the best custom payload maps out there. Hope you continue it
