Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I've tried deleting downloaded materials from other servers and such, about 5 GB of files removed, yet it still crashes.
Mainly all the materials are the backpack items and vgui materials for some odd reason.

Do you have a modified FGD loaded/no FGD loaded? Those directories should be excluded from the material browser by default, see (if using a modified FGD) if exluding them helps. You can see the list of exclusions at the top of the FGD when opening it in notepad:

Ok I looked inside and yes, I definitely have way more then you do comparing both FGD files

I'll try and put only the ones that you have and see if it works.

Right I tried changing my "tf.fgd" file and just put the same directories as yours but turns out it still crashes.
Also I apologize for not answering before but no, I have not modified, atleast not myself, the FGD files before. I actually don't even know what they are to begin with.

Removing them is likely unnecessary and I doubt it'll change something, it's just a special setup I have. Are you sure you've actually got an FGD set though? Just open your GameConfig.txt and see if it gives a valid path under "GameData0", perhaps you accidentally changed something with your config

Oh, I accidentaly had the directory as CF instead of F.

Because in the past, I had to change all the directories into my external hard drive because that's where TF2 was located. But Hammer kept trying to locate the gameinfo.txt from a different hard drive.
But yeah now it works since I changed the directory of the GameData0.
Thanks a lot buddy! This was seriously making me very frustated.
