Is it possible to achieve better point_spotlight effects?

There were no spotlights before but I recently added them under the props. Initially, there were two on each, inspired by the design seen on maps like tr_target. It didn't really look that great so I left each prop at just one point_spotlight. I can't really tell if it now looks better or not, but I'd definitely want something that is wider than the entity's initial width (not the final one, which can be edited in properties, along its length). Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I can't find it in the forums - maybe someone else can (I have it on my pc but am doing the post entry from my mac) - but there's a vmf file that has a light setup of almost every light configuration you can use in game (along with the props) - it's great resource to have.

I think I saw one setup there that had what you're looking for but I think you may have to go with a prop/light/ particle(x2?) entity set up, Can help you out more once I get home.

Didn't think of using glow effects instead of spotlights. Thank you!

Yep, that's why I love that file that Pun posted, I couldn't find it and the file has saved me a lot of time - thanks Pun!
