cp_chill - Arctic themed 5CP map

Originally a map I tried to make a couple years ago, but eventually stopped. I remade it from scratch after not working on it for a long time, and hopefully it will turn into something cool this time.View attachment 64134

A2 Changelog:
- Made snow not just white, and general displacement improvements
- Made last smaller, and tweaked an entrance to remove a shudder door
- Added awning over health near choke to block a specific sightline
- Changed mid platforms to block a specific sightline
- Removed beams outside of spawn doors because players would run into them
- Slightly changed the shape of choke to make the area less open
- Added part of building over the area between yard and alley to reduce the effectiveness of roof
- Changed lighting fixtures/effects to be less distracting and abundent
- Added skylight in last
- Added spectator cams and welcome screen

A3 Changes:
- Completely redesigned the second point and the lobby at last
- Added a pair of fences/rocks at mid for cover
- Changed the skybox, along with slightly changing environment light
- Reverted the changes to mid platform, as the sightline the changes were trying to fix no longer exists
- Added overall more health

It's certainly been a while... I sort of took a break from mapping initially after getting hooked on my Nintendo Switch, and haven't gotten back around to it until recently. But with that, here's a new version of chill.

A4 Changes:
- Evened out mid platforms and turned the bridge into a plank
- Added some geometry and props to second to add more cover
- Redesigned one of the routes between second and mid to be concealed
- Redesigned the geometry around the mid chokes a bit to make them feel better
- Made last overall smaller
- Added a big door to the lower entrance to last that closes
partway when mid is capped to block a sightline
- Slightly lowered the two standable shack roofs at second
- Made the prop for doorframes not solid, because for some reason I hadn't
- Changed the size of the doorway with the window leading to second and added an ammo pack
- Redesigned the left side of the last lobby to be more interesting rather than a corridor
- Changed the angle of the shudder door leading to second from mid, and moved the packs next to it
- Probably some things I forgot

Hey, so I just played on this on my own and it's inspired me to make my own 5CP map! You should totally continue with this, because it's such a strong base to build on!

Thank you so much! To be completely honest, I was being a bit hard on myself and almost considering starting a new map after feeling a bit discouraged, but this made my day and definitely upped my motivation to work on this.

hey look I left the map for another year and a half, my hope is for this to be the last alpha and then to detail and finish the map

A5 Changes:
- Removed some nasty sightlines
- Moved health in mid lobby to be more obvious
- Made mid a little larger overall
- Made the mid point raised to remove the shutter-to-shutter sightline and to add more height at mid
- Completely remade the last point and last lobby to hopefully be better
- Again, probably some things I forgot since these versions are so far apart
