Wasn't sure where to put this, but the CS:GO Source SDK now has the ability to scale static props.
Idk what to say about it, except hopefully that means we'll have it soon?

You can give up hoping for major changes like this for TF2 mapping, we didn't get any major feature like this for a year or two

It just got especially easy to implement due to the fact that CSGO's VBSP now compiles all static props into one big model, so all you had to do was implement the scaling in VBSP, no changes required to the rendering engine, and at this point, why not? TF2's mesh rendering doesn't work like this, and implementing it in TF2 is still the trouble it used to be.

Even more reason for TF2 to be upgraded onto Source 2

I don't have the CSGO SDK installed. Does it preview the size in Hammer?

We got $TreeSway material parameter in Jungle Inferno which was previously only available in newer versions of Source, we got a couple of entities from Portal 2 (namely trigger_catapult) back with passtime...

Also afaik, TF2 is the only source game that has access to prop lightmaps.

It's not that i wouldnt appreciate some TF2 branch Hammer updates from newer engine versions - blendmodulate display in 3D view and the like. Also CSM.
