Koth_snowvalley_beta has been stealing alot brushes and details from other maps.

https://imgur.com/a/TmaVe Here's the full list of stolen brushes.

So, and what now? I agree that rocket chamber is just coping from other maps, but in other cases - no. Because you can see the same things even on official maps, like doublecross (2fort ambar) or process (big window over last points), mountain lab is using the same content as gorge. And dont forget that it`s BETA. I have not started interior yet, so I just took some brushes that will create main geometry of level. So I wanna say you thought wrong.

How do you know they copied the brushwork? Maybe they were just really heavily inspired by these other maps. It happens all the time. You could maybe argue the rocket is too similar, but the 2Fort barn is so generic that it's hard to make something inspired by it without looking like you copied the brushwork. There are other maps that use that exact style of barn, in which it could likely be argued that the mapper copied the brushwork- the first one that comes to mind is arena_byre.
EDIT: I looked at the imgur album, and the coldfront one is still the only legitimate complaint you have. Again, the Gorge dome is quite generic and also probably pretty easy to recreate by hand, and the 2fort door hardly resembles the snowvalley doorway (there are only so many ways to make a doorframe in TF2). 2Fort windows are again, very generic and simple, I think the granary barn is a prop (but if not, it's still quite simple), and the mountainlab example is again, simple to hand-recreate (in fact, Mountainlab actually copied that area from Gorge).

Not only that, but they're very different sizes if you look closely.

@Rissy The staff have reviewed these images and decided that it counts as plagiarism. We ask that you remove or remake all stolen brushwork by the deadline, or your map will be disqualified from the contest.

Alright, so I'm doing some basic detailing on Nightflower, but I wanted to make sure my map still justified the connect 5 row.
[Seaside] [Night] [Jungle] [Symmetrical] [1 Objective under a Bridge]

My map is meant to be located in New Orleans, a typically swampy place. However, there are jungles in New Orleans as well, including gardens dedicated to that foliage. As my connect 5 row states, the theme for the map is Jungle, and I've been using mostly jungle assets, but I have some swamp assets as well. I believe that, once detailing is finished, the map will have a solid jungle theme surrounding it. I'll post a few screenshots later today, but I wanted to post this incase anyone had information against what I've said so far.

Bit off topic but are you adding gators?

( ' - ' )
I didn't even think about adding gators. I'm almost guaranteed going to add gators to the non-accessible area in my map. Thank you for bringing this up: I'll be sure to give you credit in the A2 update notes. ;)

Also somewhat off topic, I'm a big fan of using not-so-frequent props in my maps, mostly because I like seeing how I can build the environment around them to make them even more unique. While gators aren't exactly obscure, there are definitely some props that I've tried using to make interesting layouts, as well as using props out of theme to make interesting detailing.

Well, there isn't a death pit, so I guess I can call them alligators regardless.
