I'm Alizée Fan, and clearly, am new around these parts. I'm a gamer from The Ville, for those who are familiar with it, and am just getting in to mapping.
When I decided I was going to start working on mapping, and learning to use the high powered Hammer tool, there really wasn't much question in my mind about where I'd learn the tricks. I was familiar already with this site simply from being a gamer, and made a bee-line for it first thing. The tutorials section has been an outstanding resource for my newbie-ish bumbling, and your helpful members quickly guided me through the one major stumbling block I've hit so far.
I'm currently touching up some details for the first play tests of a map I've made, tenatively entitled cp_jail. Basic concept is that Blu is a group of prisoners that have to break out of the high security block of a jail, guarded by the Reds. I hope to have an A1 release up by x-mas. I'll put some screenies over on the WIP forum.
