you know, like arena mode, but really spread out!
yeah it's stupid, but imagine playing in the town of teufort and surrounding land?

any way, i might just do this to see how the TF2 style looks in large spread out areas.

Well, the good news is that Hammer's grid is pretty huge. Like, you could fit maybe 12-16 Hydros in there. The bad news is, there are limits on brush count, so have fun converting absolutely everything into models and having to contend with vertex lighting like an early 2000s GTA game.

While you can do large maps, the max player count in a server really kills the fun amount of it. Nobody likes spending alot of time to find a fight.

I've had this idea for a while too, and I think it'd be really cool if pulled off properly! But I see pulling it off just right as being quite the hard feat to do ;w;

If I remember correctly, TF2C could support 60 or more players on a single server. Something like this would be great for it!

i did attempt this with CS:GO, a map centered around long rang combat set is a middle eastern town and surrounding farm land. but hammer absolutely hated my displacement count so i had to stop early.

Bah, who needs displacements? Just use pyramid hills like all the cool kids!
