First of all BIG THANK YOU out to Malachi who has helped me so much thought the building of this map and my TF2 Career in general. (someone had to make my map playable :D )

This map is a complete copy of the original PACMAN game by Atari (its all yours not mine don’t sue me :D ) but has been turned into a Control point map.
The map has exactly the same layout as the original pacman as well as having the ghosts running around after the players. the control points are located where the Power Pacs would be and the teams spawn from the crossover section.

the map has 4 ghost running around which kill on contact, this makes for some existing game play when capping points and normal combat

The map has 4 control points which must all be captured at the same time to win. the caps are easily distinguished by the colour coded areas. for instance to top left part of the map is green sector, which corresponds to the cap in its area and the layout of the caps on the hud.
If players are still getting lost then if they look up they can see a full sized model of the map above them including the cap locations, spawns and ghost locations.

if you do download this map and use it on your server then please contact me as i would love to hop in to see what you guys think of it, and of course please rate it on this page. its your reviews and ratings that are going to make this map huge.

Thank you everyone from the Necrophix gamming community for all there help www.necrophix.com And again thank you again Malachi :D

Pretty original... after I post this you can brace yourself for a flood of "OMG GIMMICK!" posts...
looks good I need to play it before I can say anything on that subject.

I'm curious as to your choice for the colors as they don't fit with either TF2 or pac-man.

I have played the map thought many version, and I must say it is very fun to play! Yes it has a gimmick as hook to get the players in, but it has great game play to keep them coming back! Both Funk and I have had several test version to fine tune the game play. I think we are just about ready to wrap it up in the coming weeks.

We played it tonight with a decent group of people (8-8, I think). I had a lot of fun, but a few other people complained, which will happen with any unusual maps. I had two specific issues with the map myself:
- The ghosts seem to move too fast. While they kill more people this way, it really limits the actual fights throughout the map since a ghost will almost always interrupt them.
- The ghosts destroy sentry guns. I'm not sure if there's a solution to this, but it'd be nice if there was.

A few versions ago, the ghost did not break buildings, and it made the cap points a little too easy to setup/or take it back along with tracking the ghosts. But as you said, everyone has there own tastes.

But I cant say how rewarding it is to watch someone I am battling with back them self into a ghost! "Clean up on isle 3!"

Yeah, it's funny when the ghost kills them, but after playing the map for more than 10 minutes it gets really old. People end up just playing safe and wait for the enemy to run into a ghost instead of playing aggressive to finish the kill.

I'll just say this about the ghosts with buildings... with them destroying buildings there is absolutely no reason for anyone to play engineer, which is unfortunate.

thanks for the respons guys (thx mic of saying what i was going to say before you beat me too it :) )
as far as been a gimic goes, I mad ethe map for our server www.necrophix.com which is a custom map server with a fun loving player base. because of this, i bearly ever get anybody not liking it, which i guess shows to me that prahaps were a bit too funloving compaird to evryone else :) . but this map is obviously not intended to be a serious map. its ment to be a piss about to have a break from the normal cut frought battles. if your playing this seriously then your missing the point, have a laugh, tuant at someone being killed by a ghost (then get killed yourself)

as far as it not looking like pacman or Tf2, thats half understandable ish. in previous versions i had wores and data trails around the map and all conected to the spawns to make it seem more artifichal, but as i scraped that , i didnt change the spawn room so it now looks HL2 ish which i am currently changing in the next version.
however, im not sure how you can say the main map does not look like pacman??? i have stuck to the exsact map layout and made the walls in the same fassion. the only varient is that i colour coded the areas of the map to find the persific control points. i had origonly made it all blue so if you looked down from the top it would be EXSACLY the same as the atual game, but obviously everyone got lost.
if you have any sergestions on how to make it look more like pacman, or wish to exsplain thurther why it doesnt look like pacman then please reply.
B5 exspected in about 5 days or so (with inproved spawn rooms) :)

and im going to trial the ghosts that dont destroy builidings to see if it will work

thanks for the feeed back

The ghosts move too fast and they destroy buildings. Both need to be changed. The way it stands it gets really old after about 10 minutes of playing it.
