Sorry for asking this for the billionth time, but I still have this problem and I can't seem to find any solution anywhere else.

Hammer gives these logs:

Code:
vvis launcher error: can't load vvis_dll.dll
The specified procedure could not be found.

vrad_launcher error: can't load vrad_dll.dll
The specified procedure could not be found.

Any solutions? I tried verifying game files, deleting the conflicting files, then verifying, deleting the entire bin file, reinstalling the game, but it's not fixed.

Whenever I try to launch vrad.exe and vvis.exe manually, it says "The program can't start because VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." Well, the paragraph above states everything.

vbsp.exe can run just fine.

This is a bug that other people have had trouble with where hammer doesn’t want to load vrad and vvis, try verifying files and reinstalling the game. Otherwise, there hasn’t been a completely working or found solution yet AFAIK.

Yep, this is still affecting me as well. I guess we'll have to make do with unoptimized fullbright maps sitting on our disks until Valve notices.

does using an external launcher like compile-pal help? what about running rad vrad and vvis manually from the command line?
