Hello I am new to mapping and i have been watching Crash's video tutorial
In the video were he talks about how to make doors and everything he says make the brush 16X128X192
I cant get it to be that way and when i just do 128X192 it stretches across the whole room.If someone could help me that would be great
Cheers

Press [ or ] on your keyboard to raise/lower your grid scale, respectively. It'll show you the value in the bottom right corner of Hammer, and your grid will change in the 2d views. You'll want to set it to 16 for that part. :)

If this isn't the issue, you might just need to manipulate the brush from a different view after you create it?

That's up to you. Most mappers, when building the base geometry of their map, prefer to work with a grid size of anywhere between 16 and 64 HU. I personally prefer 16, but use whatever you feel most comfortable working with. Getting a good idea of scale should help you decide what grid size you work best on. Sometimes you may find yourself flopping back and forth between multiple different grid sizes.
