Ive been trying to download a couple koth maps for ugc 4v4 but no matter i put my map files it doesnt show in console or allow me to go on a server with the map otherwise it says it is missing

File path, not file extension. That is, what folders are you putting the file in?

ive tried my maps, custom, downloads and i made a folder named koth maps and put that in my custom folder but none of it worked

What's the full file path? A file path usually looks something like this and shows what system of folders your file is in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam

That's what I was looking for. However, the custom folder is not the right folder to put them in. You need to put them in your \tf\maps folder or \tf\download\maps folder.
