Desktops will be judged in four categories:

My amazing, entirely boring desktop.

I've been tempted to replace the background with solid black in the past, but that seems a bit too much.

That's from a while ago (as seen by the date and Steam name), but my desktop still is nice and clear. I've been thinking about swapping the background to a solid color or one of my favorite pieces, but I like how clean it is. I won't drive myself (any more) nuts then.

Edit: It's miraculously stayed this clean for almost three months now!

Left screen is small because I bought it in 2007 and my main monitor has a pretty high resolution. Physically, the left monitor is slightly larger.

Good Cthulhu, I'd go crazy seeing mouse jerk around in size and position

-The background is an SFM poster that I found on Steam that I liked. The background doesn't change or animate. I know, boring.
-I almost never use desktop shortcuts to navigate, I always use my taskbar or start menu, so I don't keep my desktop organized or neat. I don't even use most of the apps listed there...

Most of my programs I can access through the start menu easily. If I need to go any further than one click the start menu, it's a program I rarely use.
I once had three icons on my desktop. I decided that the third (cCleaner) could just as easily be used by right-clicking on the recycling bin so I got rid of it. Maybe one day I won't have This PC on the desktop, but for now it stays. Recycling Bin will always have a home on the desktop though.
The monitor on the right is actually bigger, it just has a much lower resolution than the monitor on the left.
