Texture preview in hammer not accurate to whats shown in game

Hello there. I just wanted to ask a quick question.

When I applied my textures to a few surfaces in the hammer editor, the preview for those textures we not accurate to what was shown in game as you'll see here.

Is there a way that I could fix this issue?

That texture is kinda bugged, the only advice i could give is use a different texture.
I used the floor_003 texture and apparently that worked. So thanks for the help!

Edit: am now using the floor_002 texture which looks very similar if not the same to what I originally wanted to use

Validate your cache and ensure that it's not corrupted.

If that's the material I think it is - one of the rink_wood ones - then it's not bugged, it just uses a bumpmap, which doesn't render in Hammer. wood_floor002 is the original basetexture so it looks like you found the right replacement.

Can confirm, that texture doesn't show up correctly in hammer and i think it's the only one there is.

What is rink_wood used for? Sounds like they planned a skating map at some point and changed their minds? Has it always been in the files?
