Community is reacting extremly negative.
I feel like the backlash is because people who don't even play dota are flaming about it because "Valve isn't making HL3 or L4D2" though that was a project done by the DotA 2 devs, and if they want to make a card game... why not? But people act like this card game is the reason why we aren't geting a new shooter from Valve.

Well that certainly is a very nice Adobe Aftereffects demo, but I'm busy not playing the Elder Scrolls card game so this is gonna be a pass from me too

What do you expect? Valve doesn't release ANY first-person game at all for almost 6 years and the first new thing they DO release is a card-game based off of Dota 2. Of course people will grab their pitchforks.
Expected a Tomb Raider like game, once that "dota card game" showed up, I was disappointed.
We know barely nothing about the gameplay, and from what we do know it'll be very mechanically different from hearthstone. Let's stop making presumptions.
It seems interesting. I heard it plays like DOTA 2 with cards from someone. Creeps and stuff.
