Vertical movement

When hopping into a game of Banana Bay I noticed vertical gameplay like no other. I was thinking of ways for engaging vertical movement for non jumping classes. Elevators came to mind. I know they are possible in hammer via my experience with hl mods but would they work in a tf2 map? Just a thought experiment.

If done well, I think they could work well. Hightower and Doomsday have elevator already.
Mind that a func_door or func_movelinear is likely to get stuck when two or more players are touching it. Either use a tracktrain or a func_brush parented to a func_door with only the brush solid.

I always use a func_tracktrain with moving objects. Also should I make the elevator teleport you into a room instead of actually going upwards since bodies tend to get jumpy when going upwards

Teleporters are usualy bad for default gamemodes and I dont get what you mean with jumpy bodies anyway. How about you make a layout first that's build around a balanced game that features lifts and test it on the tf2maps servers?
