Hi,
Hammer glitched out and pushed my entire map ~0.5 HU on the x and y axis. almost every brush doesn't end on the grid. Is there a way to move stuff less than one hammer unit? Thanks.

if you hold alt and move it however it wont use any grid and then its free flowing until you unhold alt iirc
honestly this strikes me as the worst possible solution to the problem

ho-ly shit I never knew you could move something completely off grid like this. I thought 1 was as low as you could manipulate without weird work arounds.

When I first started using Hammer, I came to the belief that turning off grid snapping gave you better precision over how you manipulated the environment. I was... technically right.

Alt also lets you rotate things freely if you have rotate snapping enabled

The one bad thing about using alt to rotate objects is that it still uses whole number intervals for its 360 degree rotations, which can be occasionally be problematic. I think CTRL+M allows for decimal intervals however? Not exactly sure, so I'd appreciate if someone could check up on that for me (im away from home or I'd do it myself)

Oh yeah I use that one a ton, I just thought moving stuff with it brought the effective grid instantly down to 1.

I'm pretty sure that alt-draggig is snapped to 0.01hu, and really really sure that alt-rotating is snapped to 0.5deg.
