Border Conflict - First map I've ever created.

As this is my first map that I've ever created, It is a very ugly map which has so far not been optimized except some func_detailing and no-drawing face's that should be able to be seen.

Set in a Mountainous Region on a secret Island in the Bering Strait, BLU and RED own two Mountain peaks, where they have built military bases to hold their side of the Mountain in the case of an attack.

RED's base on the Mountain is on the Soviet Union's half of the Island they own, and BLU's base is on the American half of the Island. koth_border_conflict_thumbnail.png

Every time one side is cap'd a wall should emerge and then blown up.

Just judging from the images alone this map has some crazy choke points and sightlines. That doorway near the point might pose a problem as well.

What Doorway? there are many Doorways. I think you mean the one to the point with the crates and bottles as cover, right?

The one directly under the point. There is no cover and it seems that each team can look out of ether ends and see each other. Maybe adding some blocks or a stairway leading up to the point can help provide some cover and a new route of attack.

this one with the railings ? This is supposed to be a way to go to the other side or to get a large healthpack.

Yes, that's the one. That sight line is really crazy if people go sniper(and they will) so adding something to block off some of it would be ideal.

okay, I have added some glass doors, though I fear that those doors will stick out of the top on the point because the ceiling is so low.

btw. do you have a tip on how to use the arrow keys to move my props and blocks? the only thing that happens to me, is that one of the 3 2d views move up or down. I really want to use arrow keys, so I can move everything more precisely and comfortable.

use the 2d views to move your props on that plane, then when you want to move it another plane switch windows.

Dude, you didn't understand me. I asked if there was a way to use the arrow keys to move props and other entities instead of using the mouse. Sorry if I sound rude, but just WHY post something that I already know ?

and you can use your arrow keys. would you look at that. Simply select the windows you want to move on that plane. then use arrow keys.

It's not that simple. You have to enable this behavior in Tools > Options > 2D views (or one of those tabs, I can't check atm). It's called something like "nudge objects with arrow keys."
