hey guys, i was wondering how you would make a small hole in the ground, almost like a trench, kind of like how in the arena lumberyard, on the side there is a branch going over a trench with health on the branch, you know the one im talking about??

how would you make that just like a normal ground with a ditch in the middle. with displacements maybe?? if so how to go about doing displacements?

thanks guys!

hey guys, cool, thank you for help.

one more question, when rotating brushes, is there a way to snap rotations to like 90, 45, 180, etc...?

tools>options>2d views tab, theres a checkbox that snaps rotations to 15 degree multiples, check this, then if you ever want to do a non-15 degree rotation hold the alt key whilst rotating

It's shift to rotate at any angle. ;)

Alt can be used to move models off the grid.

if you're going to get pedantic over it, either key works for rotation, shift works for copying stuff and alt works for moving anything without the grid.
