Hi all!

Some of you may remember me being around many months ago, working on a Dustbowl style map entitled cp_blumesa. Sadly, and without warning, I abruptly left the forums without a word. This was right at the time that a review section of the site was going up and I had been chosen as a reviewer. :blushing: I apologize for leaving without saying anything and hope it didn't cause too many headaches for anyone.

Regardless of all that, now that I've gone off and done a few things (got married, started a new business), I've found some time to get back into TF2 and have a few ideas for at least one payload-style map I might like to create. So, you may see me make a post here and there in the forums or show up for a game day, but I promise that this time around I will never sign myself up for any kind of responsibility and then immediately hide myself in a hole somewhere. ;)

Though I made some good progress on blumesa I'm not sure I'll be continuing work on it. I've let it languish too long and it's not really the type of map I want to work on right now. I learned a lot about what to do and what not to do when working on blumesa, but now I'll be taking those lessons and applying them to a badwater style payload map that I have in mind.

I'm doing a lot of sketching and planning before I even attempt to start building the map properly. This time around I'd really like to know exactly what I'll be building before I even touch Hammer. So until I'm done with my plans you'll all have to wait a bit before you see a WIP thread from me.

Gravel Pit is a darn good map, but I've always had a thing for trains. Just the idea of being able to lay down some good looking track for a payload map makes me more excited to do one.

Oh hey, I think I saw you on the last gameday. Welcome back, although I'm not sure if I recognise you. I haven't been here terribly long, though, you could have left before I remembered that my account exists, for all I know.

Yeah, it looks like the last time I was around was back in April sometime. So if you weren't around then you probably haven't met me before.

And yes, I hopped in for the game day last Saturday. I wasn't able to stick around for long, but I had a good time playing as a Soldier on pl_bigbear. That's probably because, unlike my normal games, I actually was the highest scorer on our team and I got 2 or 3 dominations. Either I was really on my game or you all can't play worth beans. ;)
