Stopwatch in non-stopwatch maps

Here is what I am trying to do: make stopwatch work in cp_degrootkeep.
What are the cases that can prevent it from working?

I have changed the team_control_point_master score style to a point per capture but it still does not work, sadly. Are there any other logic entities that can prevent stopwatch from working? I found almost 0 documentation about how this works.

That map uses a rather rare entity class, tf_logic_cp_timer, that could be what is breaking stopwatch mode.

If nothing else, it would mess up the scoring, since stopwatch mode is not designed for maps where the control points can be recaptured.
