how do i tell a prop to not cast shadows? my map has a big fence but it blocks a lot of light, how do i fix this?

It's in the attributes you can set when you double click it; there's one called "Disable Shadows" or something.

Also consider if the fence is supposed to cast a solid shadow or a mostly transparent one. Using more accurate vrad settings gives you more accurate, and visually appealing, shadows for objects with partially transparent materials.

I've never trusted those options for the chain-link fences, and I don't think Valve does either (correct me if I'm wrong butI think the official maps just disable shadows). They only look right when you crank the lightmap scale down to like 1 or something.

I just thought, what if there was an overlay for the chainlink shadow? That of course doesn't work in some cases, but would be pretty neat I imagine.
