Alright, so I've got a half pipe kinda thing that I've made out of 10 brushes. I'm trying to make a 90 degree curve with it but I have absolutely no idea how to make it. I've messed around with displacements but really could use some help in getting this to work.

Here's an outline for the curve I'm trying to make:

I just did this with one of my pre-alphas. Here's how I did it (sorry too lazy for pictures):
  1. Make hollow torus (the entire 360 degrees) using torus tool. Use something like 5-8 sides for the circle cross-section since they will be displacement-subdivided and it won't matter much anyway.
  2. Select all the inner faces and subdivide.
  3. Use the clipping tool to cut the torus down to the 1/4 halfpipe shape you wanted.
The reason I do the entire torus and THEN clip, is so the subdivision will go all the way up to the edge of the 1/4 section and not still retain the original brush shape.

This method can be a bit tricky to align with the rest of the world but play around with the values and resizing until it looks nice.

If you use displacement subdivide for it (good choice), no need for 5-8 cross sections. A cross section of 4 and the main circle of like 2 would suffice.
