I'm a relatively new mapper, I got into it a while ago to work on a jailbreak map and I'm now experimenting with gamemodes. I have watched through some tutorials on cp but I'm not entirely sure how to setup what I'm trying to set up.

The map is intended to work like this:
There are 3 control points, the objective is to capture all of them. The first control point is right infront of your base, this is the last point for your enemy to cap. The middle point is blocked off by a door, this door is opened when you have capped the point infront of your base. Once captured the door opens and the middle point is revealed. If your team captures the point the door that revealed the point for your team closes, if the enemy door is closed at the time it will open upon capturing. Once the enemy base is revealed your team has to capture the last point, simple. If you fail the enemy can cap the middle point, which opens your door but closes theirs and so on.

Here are the problems:
If the points don't start with a set owner they cannot be captured, forcing me to put a set owner on them for the game to work, but this makes the middle point unbalanced.

I am very new to gamemodes as you can clearly see, I would really appreciate it if someone took some time off to explain it to me so I don't end up in this situation again.

Having to capture the first point seems a little, er, pointless, since there'll be no reason for the teams to meet at that point. You might as well just have the team points be owned by their respective teams already, like in Powerhouse. Unless I'm reading this wrong.

I forgot to mention I already did that, the middle point is the problem.

How does this part work after change to points in bases?

Overall I don't really see how this is different compared to powerhouse 3cp except you somehow prevent mid owner from defending it.

E: that's exactly how 3cp (and 5cp) works

The point in your base is locked for the enemy team until mid is captured, it is locked again once they lose the middle point.
