Hello, I've been playing TF2 casually since the pyromania update. I've always been a bit bored by how few maps I feel the game currently has. I discovered this community through Crash's Glassworks videos, and I've decided to try out this whole map making thing. I'm 1 point into the alpha of a 4 point payload map, I'll post about that more when it's finished. Thank you all so much for keeping TF2 interesting.

Welcome to TF2Maps, we hope you enjoy your stay! The cafe is down that hall, first door to the left. We serve free breakfast each morning from 6 am to 11 am. Biscuits are served on Tuesdays.

Make sure to join the steam group ( http://steamcommunity.com/groups/TF2Mappers ), and hang out in the group chat with all the cool kids!

When your map is ready to be tested, you can add a download for it by going to the downloads section of the forums. Tell us a little about your map and post a couple screenshots so we can get the general feeling of what it is. Then join the steam group chat, and use the bot to add your map to the imp list. Or if there is a gameday thread (which have been pretty scarce recently), you can post it to there.

Good luck and have fun! It's not always easy and there's lots of obstacles ahead. Luckily, with good nerves and patience those can be solved.

yo, waddap! I also came here from those videos back in april. I actually became a member just to upload a map for the april fools contest, but stayed for the sweet community and easy map testing. I quickly became a veteran and plan on donating soon. you should post the progress of your map on the WiP thread you see on the front page, people in the thread will usually tell you what they think. hope you like it here!
