Particle editor console is broken

The TF2 particle editor console is broken and doesn't allow any commands to be inputted, is this just me, or is there hopefully some workaround?

It works fine, are you in the particle editor view or the engine view?

This is in the particle editor view. I can type in the console field but for some reason, enter doesn't do anything, which is pretty annoying as it means I can't use the engine viewport.

The top right corner is the engine view (might have a different name). If you press f10 it switches focus to it, f11 makes it fullscreen (might be switched). When it is focused on the engine view you can use the console, but the tf2 menu buttons act really wonky so don't bother trying to use them. It's useful for loading up maps to test your particles on and stuff.

Oh shoot I didn't think about opening the console IN the engine port, I was trying to use the field in the lower left corner. Thanks for this.
