yeah, agreed... it will probably get red and white stripes of some sort i'm thinking.

lol, i'm re-texturing all the houses this evening. the idea is that they will have a base wood texture that i will then detail some xmas wrapping presents style patterns on top of them. the ones that are in game now are trash models. it'll all get cleaned up... or hidden better ;)

hmm i dunno about that specific one to be honest. I may experiment with some of the others of a lighter palette tho.

I would snoop around the Arctic pack thread to see if you can snag a better skybox from there too. The sawmill skybox looks really smoggy. It's a cool contrast that is capable of interesting story telling-like all of the kids being forced to make toys or what not- if you want to go there.

I'm not sure if this will change on full compile, but right now the garland, ornaments and hats on the trees are way too bright and look out of place in an otherwise restrained color palette. That coupled with a fairly noisy tree texture, the trees are, in my ever so humble opinion, not very nice to look at

I'm not sure if this will change on full compile, but right now the garland, ornaments and hats on the trees are way too bright and look out of place in an otherwise restrained color palette. That coupled with a fairly noisy tree texture, the trees are, in my ever so humble opinion, not very nice to look at

I reworked the uvs on the tree.. the hat leaves were getting crunched.. fixed that. there's a seam, but i'll fix that later.

also the shaders on it... they were set to self illuminate.. now they are not..

you might still not like the tree, but your feedback was noted and responded to :)

I am using the Alpinestorm skybox... that would seem at least by name to be appropriate. I dont want a lighter sky.. but there's also not a lot of choice in dark skys with clouds in the Sky list. I am not super excited about making my own. I might... but it's at the bottom of my polish list if its even on the list.

edit: I looked it up.. the Sawmill Skybox is the Alpinestorm one.... ;)

Hmmm- blue can get out of spawn during set up time - won't allow red engies to build and set up a defense
