Another confession: I find it hard to make maps without a backstory in mind... it's just... really hard... on the map that I have been working on, the backstory is around 2 pages already...
I honestly don't think any kind of backstory I've made is longer than a sentence.

Sitting down and finishing the map.

I always get carried away with placing props and choosing textures when less than half of the layout is done.

Then I get bored and give up on the map. Which is what is happening now.

Most of the backstories of my maps are no more than 3 or 4 words. One time my map's entire theme was just "box factory" and that's it, and that was only so I had an excuse to spam boxes

Entity logic or the lack thereof XD. Planing something out then fighting a hammer quirk/limitation for days. I just want to map T_T .

Finishing a map thinking it's exploit-proof and people managing to find one of them later.

I hate lighting because I need to compile and load the whole map like 42 times before I get it 'just right' and my computer is made of paper which just lengthen the whole process

really, for me, it's gotta be scaling. I even put medic models and such for reference, but I can just never seem to get it right.

also, making a layout, cuz I never even plan it :p

I have a bad habit of detailing way too much before I know what the map will be like
