Hey everyone, we just wanted to drop you a line about a situation currently developing. For the past few weeks, our good friend and fellow staff member here at TF2Maps @Freyja has been fighting a rather serious medical illness. She has been diagnosed with Lymphoma, a rather not uncommon, but aggressive form of cancer. A tumor has very quickly grown on her spine and has caused near complete paralysis from the waist down.

Luckily, her doctors say this is a very treatable form of cancer, and they anticipate her making a full recovery in due time, after some aggressive treatments. This past weekend she went through her first round of chemotherapy to treat the issue, which has taken a pretty big toll on her. They anticipate it having a pretty rapid effect though, and she has reported some small gains in movement.

Freyja has been keeping us up to date on her current situation via our staff Slack group, and she does have her phone with her, so she'll be able to see this thread! If you have any well-wishes you'd like to pass along to her, feel free to do so here! We're all hoping she'll make a speedy recovery and get back on her feet soon!

We're all here for you. I'm not the first to say that you mean a lot to me, and this isn't the first time I've said it - but hey, I'll say it again. You mean a lot to me. I'm sending as many good feelings and thoughts your way as I can.

Cancer is scary, but you can get through it. We love you, here's hoping to it getting better.

This is just chilling to read—regardless of the promising treatability, this isn't something anyone should have to deal with. Sending you my best wishes and hoping you'll get well as soon as possible, Freyja.

I felt the need to create an account here just to send good vibes because cancer sucks. I've had cancer in my immediate family before and it was a hard time for everyone, but they pulled through in the end! I'm sure you can too.

Stay positive and best of luck with your recovery!

You don't know me Freyja, but I'm wishing you the best and a speedy recovery. A very close friend of mine had to go through chemotherapy. Nobody should ever have to endure it. <3 Get well.

Hi Freyja . . . I'm not at all a TF2Map regular, but I'm very much a fangirl, cheering on from a quiet corner. Good luck and good health to you, and know that a lot of people are wishing you the very best for a quick and complete recovery.
