Since I dug up one of my old space-themed maps recently I've started thinking about making custom assets for it (since I'm completely fed up with Valve taking their sweet-ass time with making asteroid (it's probably dead anyway)).

And then I thought, why not make it into a project. I'm not that good with modelling or texturing, and making a whole pack will take me ages. So here it is.

I'll be posting concept art and models here, and anyone who wants to pitch in, please do.

I've got a load of BLU retextures of the RED spacebase textures sat on my hard-drive, I'd be happy to contribute those to the project once they've been polished up a bit.

Spytech consoles will be modular - separate base with a bunch of skins for red and blu, and top models with different arrangements of buttons and screens.

Oh this is super cool. I have no time for myself rn, but I'd be willing to contribute concept arts/graphic designs to the project otherwsise.

Could this please become a community update, like frontline? of course, thats not an update, but it could become one... Im currently working on an abandoned cape canaveral map that would fit perfectly with this theme... I personally would love this ingame...

I feel like the animated textures may be a bit too distracting in a gameplay space, try slow them down a load so it isnt so eye catching. Im thinking mainly the bottom right circle thing but all of them could do with it imo.

I dont know if you had thought of this, but maybe one of the props you make could be one of those transparent cabinets where a space suit is hanging up in. just to have some nice wall props!

Shameless Plug

I've grown fond of using moon_wallpanels 1 & 2, pristine tech walls, and black tile and trim to build spacestations.
I use blendgroundtogravel005, dirtground_canyon4, and rockwalls 006 & 009 to create the Martian landscape. Alternately, you could consider using some jungle props to simulate an other-worldly flora
