Welcome text

Ok, so I'm putting the final touches on an Attack / Defend level but I can't seem to figure out where some of the welcome text is coming from. I've already setup the text that says what the objectives are, but I can't find the place to change the text "Control Points" to "Attack / Defend" as shown below.

The text changes on cp_dustbowl and cp_gravelpit. All other cp levels show "Control Points". Even the custom level cp_steel uses the default "Control Points".

Where is it from? Anyone know? And yeah, I know. It is the most minor of minor details ever and I have other things I should be thinking about first, but it is bugging me. ;)

I'm pretty sure that comes from the map's prefix, which means you can't customise it at all.

Does that mean you think the "Attack / Defend" text for cp_dustbowl and cp_gravelpit is coded into the game itself? I hope not. :(

I was going through some of the content for TF2 earlier. The only mention of "Attack / Defend" I found was in the GCF Resource folder inside a file named tf_english.txt. The text I think is used for the server browser though. I didn't finish looking at the rest of the files in the GCF so maybe something else is buried in there.

It is entity layout.

But I don't know which one decides upon displaying attack/defend instead of control point. If you add a team train_watcher the mode becomes "payload" for instance.

I'm pretty sure it is hard coded into the game, just like Badwater Basin and Gold Rush's names are, so your only option is to get officialised. :p

AFAIK, the extended map names [such as ctf_well appearing as Well (CTF)] are hardcoded in to client.dll. So unless you know how to diddle around with it (and are comfortable in doing so), what you see as your map name is what you get.

That is what I was afraid of. I know I don't have any custom Attack / Defend levels that display the text properly in my map collection. Oh well, it is a minor issue like I was saying. I have more important things to worry about like how the hell I magically broke some of my area portals since my last release candidate. :(

Thanks everyone for the answers. Back to lurking I go. ;)
