When I moved computers, I lost FRAPS to the passage of hard drives. Basically, I need a new program that can take images, because OBS sure can't...

I'm hoping one of you might have a good suggestion, so post one if you do.

If you are on Windows, press the prnt scr button to take a screenshot, and paste it into imgur or something. alt + prnt scr will take a screenshot of the window you are currently in, like if you are in hammer and you take a screenshot it wont include the task bar.

And if you have Dropbox installed, prnt scr automatically saves a screenshot to your dropbox folder!

You don't need any software installed to take screenshots and upload them, even in specific sizes.
Press the Print Screen button and hit CTRL+V inside paint.
Select the part you want to share and hit CTRL+C.
You can now go to imgur and hit CTRL+V to upload the clipboard image.

If you want to capture a specific part of your screen, use the good ol' Snipping Tool. Search "snipping" in your search menu and open it. Then click "New" and it'll tint the whole screen slightly white (it might do this automatically when you open the program, so you may not have to click "new"). Then drag and select the region you want to capture.

Oh and when using Print Screen, if you hold the Windows key and press PrtScr, it'll automatically save the screenshot to a folder in your Pictures library called "Screenshots" (at least thats what it does for me).

Bruh, I just use the Snipping Tool on windows. Select what you want (it freezes your screen), press 'Copy' and you can paste right into imgur. It's like print screen except you don't have to open paint. There is an option to have a snip always go to your clipboard, and you can also draw lines over your snip before you copy it if you wanted to quickly circle something important

EDIT: me and nick are on the same page ; )

Didn't they update Print Screen in Windows 10 so it saves the image somewhere automatically, or something? Thought I remember reading something about that.

Printscreen (Or Lightshot) saves images onto the internet immediately once taken, if signed in on the website. But I remember it doing that in previous versions.

I think that fraps takes the best pictures by far, but it does have limitations.
I'm pretty sure puush is the next best thing though.

Prtscr+imgur works for me, for steam either F12+imgur or steam screenshot sharing.
