I know this is probably the wrong place for this question, and the answer is probably written somewhere, but I can't find it.

I understand that scheduling an impromptu map test has something to do with the group chat, but I am unsure as to what the precise procedure is. Does anyone know?

1. You join chat
2. OPTIONAL: You make conversation with the ridicously handsome and nice people inside said chat.
3. You write "!add [fullmapname] [downloadurl] [comments]" (without brackets)
4. The VBot will add your map to the testing queue, which usually is pretty long these days, so expect a wait time of 1-3 days before your map gets tested.

Imps (Impromptu tests) are not scheduled, and there's usually at least one a day. In order for an imp to start, someone who has the power to (donator, staff member) will host one. They will host one whenever they feel like, or if there is tons of people in the chat ready to play/theres a lot of demand for one. To get your map in an imp, join the group chat and use the bot commands (ask people in the group chat if you need help with that) to add your map to the bot list. If you want to be notified about an imp starting, join the tf2m steam group ( http://steamcommunity.com/groups/TF2Mappers ), or just hang around in chat normally and watch the convos going on, and you'll see people talking about hosting an imp when they want to.
